In today’s comic, we find Violet pondering her period. More importantly, we wonders why she needs to have them to begin with. Luckily Desmon swings into remind her of the alternative.
Stumptown Comic fest just opened the doors to the public for table registrations and the going rate is $170. That gets you an 8 foot table and 2 chairs. I really want to be a vendor at this event and I’m currently looking for someone who’d like to join me. We can split the cots of the table and then we’d also be able to watch the merchandise while someone does something like go to the bathroom or grab food. Point is, contact me if you’re interested. Because the space is limited, the sooner the better on this one.
ComicMix is currently hosting a cool idea called National Graphic Novel Writing Month (NaGrNoWrMo for short). It’s something they created based off the National Novel Writing Month idea which takes place in November. The point of this whole thing is to stop making excuses and just start working on your project. You know which one I’m talking about, the one you say you “get to one day” when “there’s free time” and you “feel like it.” The goal is write a 48 page graphic novel starting now before the end of the month. I’m not going to be participating because I don’t have a graphic novel I’ve been putting off but I’m enjoying the articles they’re writing regarding the subject matter. If you’re slightly interesting in how to write better or motivate yourself, I highly recommend checking these guys out.
