And with that we not only wrap up the Christmas story but also the general backstory of Violet. Now, this is not the whole story as Violet mentioned several thins that I did not cover but that’s for another day. In the end, I’m hoping you understand her character a bit more and where she comes from. It’s not easy growing up with parents who don’t really care for you and you have to run away from home. The plan is to spend some good time on the whole “run away from home” story as it’s an interesting one. Well, at least the parts that I’ve written so far.
For those that had days off from work, I hope that you had a good holiday weekend and that you were able to do what you wanted. For some of us (me), we spent lots of time with family, ate a bunch of food and managed to not only take naps but play some games. What ever your cup of tea is, I hope you got to drink it last weekend.
I also have to add that due to my little vacation I am now officially behind in the book. For a few weeks I was telling myself I could still hit the deadline and was staying up late almost every night on something. Needless to say, when Diane forced me to take a break this weekend, it was a much needed dose of family time, sleep and not using my right hand to draw. My body appreciated it, my mind appreciated it and my family appreciated it. Anyway, I’m not back to my “stay up till 1am” routine in order to minimize the damage from here on out. I think the hardest part is that I can see the end in site. If I didn’t have a day job, I bet I could finish by the end of the week, that’s how close I am. So, having said that, my new goal is to finish with in the first 2 weeks of January. Wish me luck!

I totally got this for Christmas!
And I’ll get a picture next time I’m not the only person still awake at 1am.
