I hope that my baby girl remembers all the hard times that I’ve been through just for her when she’s choosing our retirement home. If not, I plan on writting them all down so she can read about them later.
Have you ever wanted to know how to change a diaper? Well, a good friend of mine who is going to babysit for us this weekend does. So thanks to him we have this lovely educational video about changing a diaper. I hope you learn something, please pass it on. (full blog post here)
Also, please know that I’m going to be at Stumptown Comicfest in Portland, Oregon this weekend. I won’t have a table but I’ll be there as a guest and will have fresh baked snickerdoodle and chocolate chip cookies if anyone wants them. I already have a few tackers, just let me know and I’ll set some aside for you. Think of this as a “welcome to Portland” from me. I call this city my home and I want anyone visiting to love coming here as much as I love living here.
Until Monday.

I wish I could say it get’s easier as they get older, but even now with by 3yr old and 5yr old when they go to bed congested it makes for some rough nights. The greatest thing ever made was the bulber. We have nose bulber for both our boys and from a very, very small age we have used them religously anytime they go to bed congested. We’ll give them a few shots of saline and then suck the mess out of that stuff. It usually will give them a good several hours before they get stobbed up again.
Being a parent is definitely not for the faint of heart or the easily grossed out. It’s a really tough jobs, harder sometimes more than others, but its the reward in the end that is so fitting. As for making a good choice on the retirement home, I think you have to sow those seeds much later in life, otherwise the fights during the teenage years will just overshadow the sacrifices you made when they were little.
Oh my goodness! Your youtube video was A-MAZING! I was laughing so hard.
