Man, having a family and money don’t really go well together. As Desmon can tell us, finding a job that pays enough to support your family is hard enough let alone actually landing something in this market. This comic is dialogue free today, brought to you by Dialogue Free Day.
The first Plus One contest has officially opened and we’re ready to give stuff away. Well, may not just yet, but at the end of the month we are. Get full details as well as enter here!
I’ve also created a landing page for the 2011 Plus One guest art drive. Full details on how you can help celebrate our 2 year milestone can be found here.
In other news, Diane got major sickness this week and it looked like the baby and I were going to make it out clean. Well, I spoke to soon as I can feel the tickle in the back of my throat. Assuming that all is well, I will be attending Wonder Northwest comic con here in Portland. I’m going to try my damndest because one of my all time favorite cartoonist will be there, Craig Thompson. Anyway, if you’re in the area and don’t mind tempting the sick gods, we should meet up there to enjoy the festivities.

Even after you land a good one it seems there’s always something wanting more and more of it. It’s nice to know that time with your family doesn’t have to mean shelling out the Benjamins. Most all of our greatest memories so far have been playing in the yard, things we discover on our walks, and just like today’s strip blasting the iPod and dancing silly together in the living room. I just always want my kids to look back and remember the things we did together and not the places we took them too.
We’ve been very blessed to allow my wife to be a stay at home mom while the kids have been little and it’s been a continual robbing Peter to pay Paul scenario, but we always make it thru and I honestly wouldn’t have it any other way…well, with the exception of winning the Lottery and getting to stay home with them as well.
Hope you and your family all get to feeling well soon.

Thank you for the well wishes. We’ve emerged from the weekend almost 100% which is awesome.
As for the lottery, we were driving through a mansion residential area the other day and got the fever for a big huge house. Of course, the only way were going to get it today was winning the lottery! I spend $10 on our ticket and we won $9 off of it. A good start but then we realized how much the lottery is for suckers.
That, and we don’t have lots of money to throw away on the hopes of winning some money.
