Welcome back!
Sometimes kids do really strange things and no one really knows why. Well, the kids know why but they often don’t inform us adults why. I just wanted to point out that the age of 2 isn’t full of terribleness all the time, it also has fun moments. Moments that make you scratch your head and go “Um… ok. I’m not sure what that means but at least I chuckled”.
And for those of you who are wondering, my business trip was awesome. I had a blast, accomplished what I needed to do and I got to ride the bus there and back. I know the bus doesn’t sound that amazing but for me it was 8 hours of uninterupted napping, playing video games and drawing pictures. It was pretty sweet.
Oh, and I got back to learn that Diane taught the little one to call her lady part the “Pee Factory”. Best. Name. Ever.

My kids are 4 and 5 and they still break out into those moments that just take you by surprise and you wonder “What just got into you?”
Seeing the drawings on the side of the cupboard in the strip today made me think of our house. We have a spot just like that at the end of the counter going into the living room. My wife painted it with Chalkboard paint (amazing stuff) and the boys have chalk and an eraser in the pen/junk drawer that they get out and draw up a storm on that side piece. It’s a cool way to utilize that space and gives them a great place to sit and draw while we’re making supper or doing dishes.
We did the same for the bottom half of their play room door. They love having these unorthodox places that they can draw on a wall or a door and not get in trouble.
